First Night Springfield 2014 will incorporate some of Downtown Springfield’s greatest venues along with visual and performance art.
*Please note that not all venues are opening at the same time*
1984 Arcade: Open from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Play your favorite games from the 1980′s!
Arts & Letters: Open from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. for a French-inspired First Night. Activities include performances from the Springfield Regional Opera, a photo booth, and sweet crepes available for purchase from The Aviary Cafe and Creperie.
Discovery Center: Open from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with interactive, hands-on activities for kids of all ages.
Fox Theatre (formerly Abundant Life Church): Open from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. with performances from Little Hoover Big Band (8 p.m. to 10 p.m.) and Smith and Smith (10 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.)
Gillioz Theatre: Open from 8 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. with performances from Mark Bilyeu & Cindy Woolf (8 p.m. to 9 p.m.), Skinny Improv (9 p.m. to 10 p.m.), and Candy Coburn (10 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.)
ideaXfactory: Open from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. with indoor and outdoor installation art, interactive neon art, giant art projections, and hot coffee.
Jordan Valley Park: The countdown to midnight will begin at 11:30 p.m. and will end at midnight with a fireworks display.
LemonDrop: Open from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. with performances from Smokey Folk and Abbie Benton & the Eskimo Girls. LemonDrop will also have local artwork for sale through a silent auction.
Mediacom Ice Park: Open from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. with free ice skating.
Ozarks Regional YMCA: Open from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. with hands-on activities for kids including crafts, face painting, balloon twisting, and a rock wall.
Park Central Library: Open from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. with a performance from The Fishin’ Magicians (8 p.m. to 10 p.m.) and MO Poetry Slam (10 p.m. to 11 p.m.)
